Doctor Who: Day Of The Moon: First Draft Parody Script

Opens with our travellers being chased  by Canton.

Rory
A three month gap? That’s never good. In Star Trek they were always losing during the three month gaps.

Amy
Why are you doing this?

Canton
To take advantage of location shooting. We should use it when we have it.

*****

Doctor
Canton you're building the perfect prison… well besides the Pandorica. It’s a good job you managed to sneak my invisible Tardis in here.

Canton
Yeah for all of the Tardis security features it sure is easy to move.

Doctor
Well I can’t have it getting me out of trouble all the time. It needs to be stolen occasionally.

*****

Rory
They’re everywhere. Everywhere! It’s an occupation!

Doctor
Which is why we’ll split up to record vocal information. They’ll never catch on to it and vaporise us one by one.

Rory
How quaint. What about a portable projector to keep their image on the Tardis wall so we’d remember what we have learnt? Or we could keep pictures of them in our wallets, on our watch…

Doctor
Don’t start that again.

Canton and Amy go to an orphanage where the manager has forgotten it’s been closed for two years… So have the lawyers, estate agents, child agencies, his family, friends and utility suppliers. The Silence sure are thorough.

Amy
Wandering around alone in the dark sure is fun when you’re looking for dangerous aliens. Whait my recorders flashing, I’ll go out the window. Ahh! That’s a scary image. Shouldn’t we be worried about the kids?

Writer Steven Moffat
No its ok this is culture.

Amy
Culture?

Writer Steven Moffat
Yeah we’re exporting British culture to America remember?

The impossible girl astronaut appears.

The impossible girl astronaut
Help!

Amy
Sorry to shoot at you before. Luckily I’m a lousy shot.

The impossible girl astronaut appears
I hope that’s not genetic.

The Doctor and Rory arrive.

Rory
Where’s Amy?

Canton
Sorry I was failing to get information out of the manager when it happened.

Silence
We are the silence. Silence will fall.

Rory
Great. We don’t need to worry then.

Silence
No I didn’t mean… never mind you’ll forget what I say anyway.

Doctor
So humans decided to go to the moon because the Silence wanted a spacesuit?

Rory
That doesn’t make any sense the Russians proved they had working space suits first.

Doctor
Yes but it would have been harder to film and market to Russia.

*****

Canton
Say something incriminating to this camera I’m clearly holding.

Silence
We’re called the Silence we don’t just talk for the sake of it.

Canton
Amuse me.

Silence
Oh ok. Kill us on sight. Do not hesitate, show no mercy then dispose of our bodies so that you don’t remember us again.

Canton
Wow that was a lot better than I expected.

The Doctors lands inside the Tardis of the Silence.

Doctor
Want to watch the moon landing on television? You should, you helped it happen which does devalue the achievement somewhat.

Silence
It is worse than that. We have been influencing humans since they made fire.

Doctor
What? Then why haven’t I met you before?

Silence
We’re quite.

Doctor
Well not any more.

Video Recording of Silence
Kill us on sight.

Silence
That idiot!

River Song
You’re a big scary alien no ones shot you on sight before?

Silence
Amazingly not.

River Song
So you’re not prepared for me then.

River shoots them all while the Doctor distracts her with his screwdriver.

River Song
Yeah thanks for the help honey. Didn't I shoot efficiently considering I forget them the moment I take my eyes off them. Gosh I hope my old fella didn’t see me do that.

Rory
If I wasn’t so astonished I might read something into what you just said.

****

President Nixon
We’re safe now then?

Doctor
Kind of. I’d keep recording conversations though.

Amy
So I guess we’re now going to look for the girl in the spacesuit?

Writer Steven Moffat
Haha yeah right. I’ wil tease you with the girls regeneration though.

Doctor
Well I really think I need a holiday. How about a cruise?

Doctor Who: An Unearthly Child: First Draft Parody Script

It's always more difficult to parody something I like but I wanted to have an affectionate look at the Dr Who series. This is a piece of television and sci fi history and I recommend watching classic Who if you haven't before.

Opens with a policeman walking through the London streets as he wanders where this great new theme tune is coming from.

Policeman Actor
Ooh I’m getting a mysterious intro this show could make me big.

Tardis
Actually this is my mysterious into.

Policeman Actor
Oh. Well I’ll still remember this moment with fondness.

Cut to Susan’s school.

Barbara
I’m worried about Susan she appears intelligent.

Ian
She might still meet a man who loves her despite that.

Barbara
I don’t mean that I’m worried about her home conditions. She live in a junk yard.

Ian
We could try social services?

Barbara
In the 60s? They’re not what they will be. I think we should stalk her.

Ian
Ok nothing morally wrong with that I guess… We could talk to her?

Barbara
Oh but I want to do some stalking.

Ian
Well if we notice one more strange thing about her…

Barbara
She’s listening to some stange new age music.

Ian
That will do.

Cut to the junkyard which is still being patrolled by a police man. Street policing isn’t what it used to be.

Doctor
Move along nothing to see here.

Barbara
Ok Officer… wait a minute you’re not a policeman.

Ian
You’ve got Susan locked up in a police box.

Barbara
How ironic.

Susan
What’s going on?

Ian
What? It’s bigger on the inside.

Doctor
Oh please say something original.

Susan
But grand father no one has ever said that before.

Doctor
My Dear child, you’re not thinking fourth dimensionally.

Barbara
What is this?

Susan
I name it Tardis. Remember I get the credit for that name Tardis. Tardis. Tardis.

Ian
Lets get out of here, this can’t be possible. Wait this impossible door has us locked in.

Doctor
Hahahaha

Barbara
Wow that’s a really sinister laugh. You can’t be the shows hero surely?

Doctor
Well I’m going to keep you prisoner but it’s for the good of your world. Bad things could happen with the very idea of a Tardis.

Ian
Haven’t you read any of our science fiction? We have lots of crazy ideas that doesn’t mean we’ll invent.

Doctor
Enough! I need some adventure not constant debate. I’m taking you to a far away place, in time and space.

Ian
But you’ll be able to bring us back here?

Doctor
Ha! I’m not even sure where here is. I’m rather new at this. Now where’s the indicators?

Star Trek Tng Encounter At Far Point: First Draft Parody Script

Opens with a zoom in on an Enterprise window. After years of being off the Television the first thing the new Star Trek series shows us is a bald man.

Captain Picard
I'm still cool though.

Audience
Whoa that voice is cool.

Gene Roddenberry
Star Trek will never resort to needing a star studded young cast.

 *****
Q
Ha ha mere mortals, fear me!

Captain Picard
Hi.

Q
Hi?

Captain Picard
All powerful aliens with delusions of god hood are already a Star Trek cliché. I guess you're going to judge us now?

Q
You will quake in your mini skirts! Wait a minute why are men wearing mini skirts?

Captain Picard
This is the 24th century.

Q
And this is meant to be an optimistic view of the future?

They go to trial after some expensive but surprisingly boring special effects.

Tasha Yar
Being a strong confident woman and the equal to any man I will now burst into tears.

Captain Picard
It's OK, I just surrendered.

Tasha Yar
That is pathetic.

 *****

Q
To allow these two awkward story lines to loosely fit together I'm going to disappear for a while. I will be watching though, honest.

Cut to the edge of known space.

Will Riker
If being on the edge of known space is such a big deal, how can we get here weeks before the Enterprise?

Dr Crusher
I believe Picard wanted to avoid my son for as long as possible. I'm not even sure they'll stop here.

Captain Picard

Welcome aboard number one.

Riker

Which poor person gets called number two?

Captain Picard
The name suits her function.

Troi
Hello Will.

Riker
Great now I have to put up with unresolved emotions for seven years.

 *****

Captain Picard
You've already turned down one captaincy, why would you do the same for the next seven years?

Riker
I'm actually a coward, but compensate with my arrogance.

Captain Picard
Great.

 *****

Wesley
Hi I haven't annoyed anyone for 5.236 minutes.

Captain Picard
Hopefully you'll leave when your mother's contract ends in 12 months.

 *****

Riker
You lost the saucer section?

Captain Picard
Yes. If O'Brien carries on like this he'll lose his officer commission.

Riker
Whoa so you're giving me the keys to the star drive. Dude that's totally sweet.

Captain Picard
Scratch it and your dead!

 *****

Dr McCoy
Now new Spock, remember to take care of your ship.

Dr Crusher
Why do you get to meet Bones? I want to meet Bones.

Data
I could go  to sickbay and arrange an autopsy.

Dr Crusher
Sigh... You get to hang out with Spock. La forge gets to hang out with Scotty, Picard gets Kirk. Why don't I get the Doctor?

Dr McCoy
That would be far too logical for my liking.

 *****

Worf
I can't believe this is just the first half, I feel dishonoured by the lack of excitement.

Audience
I'm sure the second half will be more interesting.

Worf
Ha!

 *****

Captain Picard
Hello Zorn.

Zorn
Don't say that.

Captain Picard
What your name?

Zorn
It sounds like an insult.

Captain Picard
Are you trying to hide something?

Zorn
Just my middle name.

 *****

Riker
You stimulate your simulated mind in a simulation? Fascinating.

Data
Please don't take my lines. The holodeck is indeed fascinating... well for a season or two at least.

Audience
We should be snoozing by now but this being Star Trek we're incredibly patient.

 *****

Troi
I sense pain.

Captain Picard
Pain? That must mean a life form.

Data
(Whispers) Sir we still have 30 minutes of the episode left.

Captain Picard
Oh. Well then this is a puzzle, better keep investigating.

Worf
Sir, an alien ship has arrived and is attacking the planet. Let me at them, let me at them!

Captain Picard
OK ready phasers.

Audience
At last some excitement.

Q
We can't have that. This series is about long boring monologues, on the wonders of life and how peaceful humanity is whilst at the same time being the most military competent people in the Galaxy.

Captain Picard
Fine we'll go for a sickly sweet and unsatisfying ending. Send  the city some energy so that it can turn back into a creature.

Worf
Phasers and photon torpedoes deliver a type of energy.

Captain Picard
No we want to send them the non harmful stuff, even if we know nothing about their biology. Just send some good vibes.

Worf
Sigh I'm not going to like this ship.

 *****

Riker
Now that we're all finally introduced I hope we can finish with this messy, drawn out storytelling.

Captain Picard
I'm sure our future missions will be far more interesting.

Audience
We certainly hope so.
